Gate Leg Table

Gate Leg Table: a table with hinged legs that swing out from the frame to support the drop leaves that make the surface of the table larger.
Found this in a furniture store that sells for others at a commission. It is an antique from a woman’s home who had it for 75 years. Therefore I think it could be older, really need to research and find out. However it is in its original state except for my pyrograghy work. As is with old furniture it was pretty dirty and cleaning it was a chore! But it turned out to be lovely with a walnut finish, original panels all.
The theme for it was Fairy’s and Peonies and it is the largest burn I have done. Very challenging, just laying it out and transferring the design was educational! It took me about 6 months to complete and I have been enjoying it in my home since. For the right price I will part with it but, it would be a great loss. Money comes and goes but art is irreplaceable.
